I believe that we should commit ourselves to excellence, seek growth outside of the practice environment, and always have an open mind. My most recent experience includes coaching 16U and 14U in Ontario. Before that, I coached and managed the National Beach Program in Jamaica. I also played and coached at the University level in Jamaica. I am passionate about teaching, honing volleyball skills, and contributing to the growth of the program.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in fostering consistent growth within athletes, whether that be through developing positive mindsets and attitudes or by teaching effective physical exercises. I played club volleyball throughout my high school years with the FOG association, along with competing on my school’s varsity team. As I step into my first year coaching my former high school team along with the FOGG Club, I hope to learn and grow just as much as the athletes. I am excited to see the potential of each athlete increase and aim to cultivate a positive environment where they can develop both mentally and physically throughout the season!

My philosophy centers on the development of the whole athlete through sport, both on and off the court. I aim to teach players to achieve their very best for themselves so they can reach the next level while having fun. I have been coaching volleyball at various age levels since 2003. Last season, I was head coach of U13 FOGG Koala, where we finished with a second place finish at Premier 1 and Provincials. The prior season as an assistant coach with U14 FOGG Grizzlies, my team finished with the Div 2 Provincial Championship and the Tier 3 National Championship. This year, I return to the U16 age group for the first time since the pandemic cut that season short. I am a certified NCCP Development Coach and am currently working on my Advanced Development certification. I am excited about the opportunity to work with the U16 group, focusing on developing their skills and competence in volleyball while ensuring they have fun along the way.
